Retail Tenants

We own and also manage a number of shops and retail parades. Our portfolio has a wide mix of tenants and incorporate a variety of multiple retailers and also independent traders. It is important for us to maintain a good working relationship with our tenants, some of which have been working with us for many years. Some of our more well known retail tenants are detailed below.

    Dixy Chicken

    Dixy Chicken our tenant, in Alfreton, Derbyshire, is a popular fast-food chain specialising in delicious Halal fried chicken. Dixy was established in 1986 and over the years the number of outlets has steadily increased to over 150 shops, their presence is mainly in the UK, but they also can be found worldwide, in countries such as Pakistan, India, the United States and New Zealand.

    Boots UK Limited

    Boots The Chemist, previously our tenant in Aberdare, Wales, is part of Alliance Boots, an international pharmacy led health and beauty group with a presence in multiple countries. Boots has around 2,100 stores and has recently published accounts showing a turnover in the region of £6.5 billion and a net worth of approximately £900 million.

    Coral Estates

    Historically a tenant of ours, in Aberdare, Wales, Coral Estates is part of the Gala Coral Group which is a large multiple retailer, having approximately 1,800 shops throughout the UK. Gala Coral is privately owned and is one of Europe's largest betting and gaming businesses, with a strong market position and a well established brand.

    H&T Pawnbrokers

    As the UK's largest pawnbrokers, H&T Pawnbrokers, a tenant of a shop that we manage in Worcester Park, Surrey, have a long history dating back to the late 1800s. With over 270 shops, this listed company has a turnover of £220 million and a net worth of £182 million.

    Shoe Zone Plc

    Shoe Zone, a previous tenant of ours, in Alfreton, Derbyshire, is a leading UK specialist footwear retailer, offering low price and high quality products. With a network of over 300 shops throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland, the company employs around 3000 staff, is listed on the stock exchange and has a turnover in the region of £165 million.

    Beanzz Coffee & Kitchen

    Beanzz Coffee & Kitchen is a licensed independent café offering an eclectic breakfast and lunch menu, as well as, home made cakes and a wide range of coffees, loose leaf teas, smoothies, ice cream shakes & much more, all served in a warm and lively atmosphereBeanzz Coffee & Kitchen occupies the retail element of our property at 43 Grove Road, in the Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne.

    Valley Cids

    Our former tenant, Valley Cids, in Alfreton, Derbyshire, trading under their brand, Purple Robes, is a registered charity, operating under a number of retail brands across a network of 34 shops. They have a turnover of £4.3 million and a net worth of around £1.5 million.

    Move Sussex Estate Agents

    Move Sussex are an independent firm of estate agents, who lease a shop from us, which is located on our retail parade in High Street, Polegate, East Sussex. They specialise in selling residential property in Polegate, Eastbourne and surrounding areas in the County of Sussex.

    Vape Royal

    Vape Royal is the tenant of a shop that we manage in High Street, Broadstairs in Kent, they are a relatively new tenant and interestingly enough they have opened East Kent’s First E-Cigarette Café. Please click here to read a news article regarding the store opening.

    The Vinyl Frontier

    The Vinyl Frontier is Eastbourne’s largest independent vinyl record shop and cafe. They trade from a previous property investment of ours at 35 Grove Road, Eastbourne. As well as selling records, the business offers a cafe which is fully licensed and provides seating inside and also outside the premises. Throughout the year, The Vinyl Frontier organises and hosts a wide variety of exciting music events.
